I think I've figured it out. Cobb really is still dreaming, here's why: 1. The spinning top totem he is using is Mal's (his wive's) totem (never use another person's totem, it defeats the purpose), that's why it doesn't matter if it topples or not 2. In the end his children are wearing the same clothes from his memory 3. Cobb's wife, Mal, is conscious and still alive, but trying to wake Cobb up, that's why she keeps spoiling all his dreams 4. The movie begins in limbo, we don't know how he got there 5. The Inception is on Cobb, via Mal, trying to give him the idea that this "reality" isn't realat's why she keeps spoiling all his dreams 4.
